Shared-use forest trails

Explore our shared-use forest trails

Take in the beautiful pine and native forest environment via one of our many shared-use forest trails.

Our shared-use trail network makes our forests the perfect destination for walking, trail running, rogaining and orienteering, horse riding and bike riding.

These trails are for the enjoyment of everyone – please remember the Forest Trail Code:

  • To ensure everyone’s safety and enjoyment, please consider others. The forest is used by walkers, runners, horse riders and cyclists. Please give way and show courtesy to others. Horses can be frightened by bikes and dogs so slow down and give way.
  • Always wear a helmet when cycling and horse riding and travel at a safe speed according to your experience, the track conditions, and terrain.
  • Avoid steep muddy, or loose trails and surfaces, where the tracks you leave behind can channel rainwater and cause erosion.
  • For your own safety, avoid areas where access is restricted, including where forestry operations are in progress. Look out for and adhere to all signage.

Walking and shared-use trails can be re-routed or closed from time-to-time due to forest closures. Check affected trails here.

The forest is closed to the public on declared Total Fire Ban days. To report a fire, call 000.

For fire ban information phone 1800 362 361 or visit the CFS website. Being aware of a Total Fire Ban is your responsibility.

Fire is prohibited on ForestrySA land between November 1 and April 30 in any year. (These dates may be extended in areas where high fire danger persists).
